Bow Street is thrilled to present this important Masterclass with Intimacy Coordinator/Writer/Director Róisín O’Donovan.

Over 2 days you will learn about the important role of an intimacy coordinator and how intimacy guidelines ultimately affect everyone on set. Participants will be taken through best practice from understanding the script implications to reviewing scene work.

WHO IS THIS FOR? 

This workshop is aimed at Actors 18+ with some professional experience, looking to get a better understanding and insight into the role of an Intimacy Coordinator and how, in the event of one not being available or present on your shoot, you can guide those who could benefit to make the shooting as safe and creative as possible.

Please note this Masterclass would not equip anyone with enough training or qualifications to work as an IC.

YOUR TUTOR

Róisín O’Donovan is an Irish intimacy coordinator, actor and filmmaker with over 15 years of experience in TV, film, and theatre. 

She holds a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from University College Cork/ Pace University and is an original graduate of The Factory, now Bow St Academy, where she currently teaches.

Róisín has worked as an intimacy coordinator on several major productions since training in 2019, Including Apple TV’s “Foundation,” Netflix’s “Vikings: Valhalla, and “Wednesday,” as well as projects for Disney and Amazon.

Alongside her coordination work, Róisín is a trained Wellbeing facilitator and an established screen actor with a unique perspective on both performing and supporting intimate scenes. She is passionate about education and regularly leads courses on intimacy best practices for Bow Street and Screen Ireland. She is committed to fostering respectful and collaborative environments that support actors’ wellbeing and authentic storytelling across film and television.
