This workshop aims to equip actors with the necessary skills and knowledge to transition their stage combat experience into effective screen combat techniques. Actors will gain invaluable insights into the world of combat for screen, how that translates to a working set and working with cameras, as well as what to expect when working with stunt coordinators.
Actors will learn the fundamentals of screen combat choreography, camera awareness, and acting techniques specific to on-screen fights. This workshop will have both a theoretical and practical element to all learning objectives.

TUTOR
John Mulvey started out in 2005 learning stage combat with the IDCA.
Over the next number of years he was graded in Unarmed Combat, Rapier and
Dagger, Short Sword, Knife and Broadsword.
In 2017 he trained with the team of Stunt360 and the European
Stunt school in Denmark. From wire work to fire arms and falls to
specialising in Fire work.
His stunt career started in 2009 with short films The 4 Horsemen and Calibre. He joined the stunt team on Vikings in 2013 which has led to shows
like Vikings Valhalla and Into the Badlands where he was stunt double for
Nick Frost.
John has worked internationally on films like WWEs the Marine 6 to Netflixs The Wonder not only working with different stunt team’s but to double some amazing actors. He is also Coordinator for Hank Stunts.
This workshop is limited to 14 participants.
