This workshop aims to equip actors with the necessary skills and knowledge to transition their stage combat experience into effective screen combat techniques. Actors will gain invaluable insights into the world of combat for screen, how that translates to a working set and working with cameras, as well as what to expect when working with stunt coordinators.
Actors will learn the fundamentals of screen combat choreography, camera awareness, and acting techniques specific to on-screen fights. This workshop will have both a theoretical and practical element to all learning objectives.

TUTOR
Marie Devine is a multi-award-winning actress and a professional stunt performer. With a passion for storytelling and a love for the arts, Marie developed her career as a professional stunt performer, alongside her acting career. She has dedicated years to honing her craft in both domains and when not working, she believes in continuing her training and advancing her skillset wherever possible.
Her stunt specialities include, Armed and Unarmed Combat, Fire Stunts, Safety, Precision Driving and Motion Capture. In more recent years, Marie worked with the European Stunt School, Stunt 360 in Denmark. She has worked on many Irish and International Productions, in both acting and stunt performance.
Among her recent credits include; Vikings: Valhalla (MGM), Kin (Brong Studios) and The Wonder (Element Pictures).
* Please note this workshop is not for those who have never received any combat training previously.
